Call for Contributions within the ECE Brussels Blog - Your voice in shaping Europe’s future

The European Centre of Excellence (ECE Brussels) invites researchers, practitioners, civil society actors, and engaged citizens to contribute opinion pieces and short articles to our new Blog section.

We are particularly interested in original insights and well-argued perspectives on topics aligned with our focus areas, including:

• Good governance, democratic development, and inclusive policymaking;

• Strategic EU communication, enlargement, and transatlantic cooperation;

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, with a focus on ethics, inclusion, and societal impact;

• Media literacy, disinformation, and civic resilience;

• Youth engagement, gender equality, and inclusive decision-making;

• Climate policy, green transition, and sustainable development;

• Strengthening the EU Single Market and fostering economic reform in EU candidate countries;

• Contributions that promote inclusion, counter hate speech, and highlight the rights of diverse communities, including LGBTQI+ people and others whose voices are often underrepresented;

• Other topics that align with the mission and objectives of ECE Brussels.

ECE Brussels provides a space for informed and open exchange - connecting voices from across Europe, with particular attention to EU candidate countries.

The European Centre of Excellence team welcomes diverse perspectives, but reserves the right to decline or remove any contributions or comments that contain hate speech, discriminatory language, personal attacks, or content that incites violence or undermines the dignity of individuals or groups. Submissions must reflect the values of inclusion, respect, and constructive dialogue.

We welcome your contributions that are timely, policy-relevant, and grounded in expertise or practical experience. Articles should be clear and accessible, typically minimum of 300 words. Submissions may be in English.
